An Open Letter to the Dioceses of Britain

Issued by the Divine Watch - 7th May 2026

To the Bishops, Clergy, Churchwardens, Councils, and Faithful Servants of the Churches across this land,

Grace and peace to you in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The Divine Watch writes openly, respectfully, and without concealment.

We are not enemies of the Church. We are not here to divide the Body of Christ. We are not a rebellion against God’s House. We are ordinary men and women who looked upon a collapsing moral landscape and chose not to stand idle. We have watched confusion spread through the nations. We have watched illness, addiction, loneliness, disorder, corruption, hopelessness, and spiritual exhaustion consume communities once held together by faith, family, discipline, and reverence for God.

We have watched many souls drift from the Church, not always because they rejected Christ, but often because no-one stood firmly enough to guide them back toward Him. And so we stand. The Divine Watch exists because many still believe that truth matters, goodness must be defended, communities must be restored, and Christ remains Lord over all creation.

We understand that our presence may bring caution in some quarters. Any movement speaking openly about repentance, moral order, spiritual vigilance, discipline, restoration, and obedience to God will naturally attract scrutiny in an age increasingly uncomfortable with such things.

We do not resent caution. Discernment is wise. But let it be clearly understood: The Divine Watch does not seek to undermine the Church. We seek to strengthen what remains righteous within it. We seek no earthly crown. We seek no political dominion. We do not answer to ideology, fashion, or public appetite. We work for, and answer only to God, The LORD Most High.

In return, we ask something simple, though weighty: That the Churches once again uphold the laws and order of God without compromise, embarrassment, dilution, or fear. Not selectively. Not symbolically. Not only when socially acceptable. But faithfully. We ask that Scripture once again be treated as living instruction, not historical decoration. That holiness be spoken of without apology. That truth be spoken plainly, even when difficult. That discipline be restored where disorder reigns. That the weak be protected. That corruption be confronted. That the spiritually lost be guided back toward Christ with courage and conviction.

We recognise that many within the churches labour under immense institutional pressures, administrative burdens, financial strain, and social hostility unfamiliar to previous generations. The Divine Watch exists outside many of those structures, allowing us to act more directly at community level where practical restoration, visible presence, and immediate support are required.

This difference need not divide us. Properly ordered, it may strengthen the wider work of God within the nation. Where churches stand courageously in defence of truth, reverence, discipline, compassion, and the moral order of God, they will find the Divine Watch standing beside them for generations to come. Not above them. Not against them. Beside them

This difference need not divide us. Properly ordered, it may strengthen the wider work of God within the nation. Where churches stand courageously in defence of truth, reverence, discipline, compassion, and the moral order of God, they will find the Divine Watch standing beside them for generations to come.

We will defend the faithful where we are able. We will support restoration where it is welcomed. We will encourage reverence where it has weakened. We will help strengthen communities broken by despair, addiction, purposelessness, ill health, and spiritual exhaustion. Through FFortitude and associated community structures, we intend to assist in rebuilding discipline, fellowship, endurance, responsibility, physical wellbeing, and reverence for life under God.

Strong churches require strong people. Strong people require truthful guidance, meaningful structure, and a reason to stand again. We are prepared to help where such help is genuinely desired. We do not expect perfection from men. Only honesty before God. The years ahead will test every institution, every household, and every heart. This is not an age for cowardice, performance, or hollow ritual. It is an age demanding sincerity, endurance, repentance, courage, and living faith. Yet we remain hopeful.

If the faithful stand firm now, the restoration of God’s order need not take centuries. One generation of courage may yet change the course of this land. To those dioceses already striving quietly to hold the line under immense pressure, know this: You are not alone. Many still believe. Many still pray. Many still labour quietly for the good. Many still love Christ deeply, even after disappointment, confusion, betrayal, or loss. The Divine Watch simply refuses to let that flame die quietly.

May God strengthen every faithful shepherd. May Christ guide His Church. May truth return to the land. And may all things worthy stand firm beneath the eyes of Heaven.

In service to the Governance of Good,

The Divine Watch - The Blade to the Unseen
